Hannah Laswell is not only an outstanding EPIC Teacher Leader, but is now officially the 2026 KCSS Social Studies Teacher of the Year! Congratulations and well deserved! @KyWriteRight@KEDCGrants@KEDC1@DrJWEvansJr
A tour of the St. Louis Cathedral with @KEDCGrants was a moving experience. During our time there, we learned about New Spain, New France, Catholicism, and how those forces shaped New Orleans into what it is today. It was an immersive experience with the local community.
An amazing view w/ @kedc_epic as we continue to learn about the history & culture of New Orleans.
Appreciate the hard work the people of @Oak_Alley plantation do to preserve the history of the home, its many owners, & the enslaved who once lived there.

Aloha to Ranger Dobbs from @PearlHarborNPS who shared with KY teachers this afternoon an inside look of the memorials and spotlights of some sailors (and Baby Nancy) whose stories help us focus on the humanity of this historical event. @KyWriteRight@KEDCGrants
