If there is a grand plan starring Catherine West and a few PPSs, then it doesn’t feel terribly thought through. A period of calm would do none of them any harm. A fitting tribute for a true football legend is taking shape.

Work has begun on a permanent statue honouring Tommy Gemmell, the Craigneuk-born @CelticFC and @ScotlandNT hero who scored in two European Cup finals.

Led by the Tommy Gemmell Project Committee with support from our community partnership team, this tribute ensures Lisbon Lion Tommy’s achievements and connection to his community will be remembered for generations.
