TRILLANES CALLS FOR DUTERTE'S RESIGNATION AS DEPED CHIEF

Former Senator Sonny Trillanes did not mince his words on Tuesday as he called for the resignation of Vice President Sara Duterte as the DepEd secretary. This comes after her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, and his brothers threw "curses and insults."

"Minura at ininsulto na ng tatay at mga kapatid mo, tapos kapit-tuko ka pa rin as DepEd Secretary? Konting hiya naman. Mag-resign ka na as DepEd Secretary, please," Trillanes tweeted.

Meanwhile, Duterte, in a statement on Monday, said, “I have not spoken to my brother about his remarks on the President’s resignation.”

“I can only surmise that he is coming from a place of brotherly love, coupled with the common sentiment that I do not deserve the despicable treatment that I am receiving from some sectors within the circle of the President,” she added.
