@ramez Is this sarcasm? Your racist secret police should go out and recruit the "best and the brightest" and your examples are an actual Nazi and a trophy wife?
@IanCSmith3d It has multiple, pick your client, the protocol is open.
But the default is Reach Native, I have some technical issues with it, but it runs on everything
@NewBrightonPS The owner of this site has come out as a Nazi. Please could you move this account to BlueSky? Or anywhere else.
I withdraw consent for any pictures or details of my child to be posted on this specific site.
@adamgusky Yes, because he's a lawyer. He's paid to understand those documents, getting it wrong once could cost him his job.
Best current LLMs are right about 85% of the time.
LLMs are great at fuzzy, bulk stuff. Do not use them when detailed nuance is critical.
@DanTup@AmazonUK Then it will be forecasts. Modern logistics are much more sophisticated than monthly stock takes. They'll do what they can to make sure that they have exactly the stock for next day delivery, but also any excess is sitting in someone upstream's warehouse instead.
@DanTup@AmazonUK Kindle edition doesn't cost anything to store, so always has the fixed price from the publisher. Stock price varies by storage cost and how long the goods last. It's the same reason supermarkets have a shelf of stuff going off today at a discount.
@DanTup@AmazonUK Sunk cost stock management.
I have a warehouse, I buy 100 books and sell 90, I've made back a profit and the release spike is over, all accounted for last month, I'm paying to store the remaining 10, so I can sell them at a loss this month and it's all profit.
In Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy the people selling AI are described as "a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came".
@DanTup@Redrow The more you send over the spam limits the more it ends in the bin without being read. Their email marketing team is incompetent... you can get decent response rates if you precisely target small sends, but they probably think one impression per tens of thousands sent is ok.
@DanTup@Redrow Also, depending on your email provider, you flagging it as spam is surprisingly effective. For instance Gmail will bin all mails from a source if 0.03% of their users flag it as spam.
This company probably wonders why nobody opens any of their mails.
@DanTup@Redrow Submit a GDPR right to be forgotten request, in writing, in an email. If they spam you again or their mail does not include a privacy policy complain to the ICO.
@IanCSmith3d I've tested loads of AI, Grok is a way behind the leads (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc) and not cheap (though note I'm using AI at large scale through cloud APIs). GPT-4o will do most stuff at a reasonable token cost, but I'll switch as soon as a similar model is cheaper.
@IanCSmith3d Only game in town really, Google's monopoly is crushing, and highly enshittified (they've got steadily worse as they charge more). Both of them will scam you, but there's no one else to go to.
I was hoping the anti-trust case would do something about it https://t.co/bcYSUeDKY2
@IanCSmith3d If you want to make money off advertising on YOUR site then it's BlueSky > (huge gap) Threads > Twitter > FB.
If you want to make money on ads on the site itself then it's YouTube > (huge gap) TikTok > IG > (huge gap) Twitter.
@IanCSmith3d Twitter works if you keep it on Twitter, so blue tick + whatever gets engagement. Rage inducing arguments work best, just don't link off site. The blue tick revenue is pennies though, I think you have to be Mr Beast or Logan Paul scale to make money out of it.
@IanCSmith3d It's not ideological - their content gets more views and their ads make more money if they post on BlueSky than Twitter. That's why it's getting folks from Twitter and Threads. Twitter's ad model doesn't make content producers any money.
@IanCSmith3d The most critical difference is link deranking and capture - Twitter does this loads (put a link in a tweet and nobody will see it, and if they do click on it then it opens in the Twitter app), π¦ not at all - everyone making content is moving.
