"“We're being forced to pay for courses that [we’ve] used before, [which] we won't be using. So they [the Ministry Education] front loaded a cost of $600,000 — removed it from our budget,” PVSD Education Board Chair Janet Kotylak.""

The Sask. Party created two very different sets of rules for independent and public schools.
The lack of oversight has had very real and devastating consequences.
Today, we released the QIS report we received - heavily redacted - from the government.

Thanks @TheJeremyRigby for bringing this to my attention. @PremierScottMoe was silent yesterday on his support for teachers & public education. He did take time to tweet his support for Embassy Church in PA’s fundraiser. Embassy’s QIS is Regent Academy. https://t.co/TjxpJR9dLE
The government of Saskatchewan is destroying education in the province through chronic underfunding. It's purely ideological and absolutely shameful. Do the right thing and properly fund public education in the province, @PremierScottMoe.
Hallway healthcare and hallway education.
After 16 years of Sask. Party governments, this is the state of our hospitals and schools.
Saskatchewan deserves so much better. It's time for change.

“In Finland, the # of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.” https://t.co/EH3reri9lz
95 Saskatchewanians have died of COVID since the beginning of the year.
Zero have died of the flu since that time.
COVID should NOT be treated the same as the flu. The Pandemic is clearly not over.
Here’s the Chest X-Ray of a young girl suffering from a condition that is now the #1 cause of death in children and adolescents in the U.S.
What’s the diagnosis?
Saskatchewan kids are falling behind. Both Alberta and Manitoba recently released budgets and have allocated a higher year over year increase in funding for education. Why are Saskatchewan students being shortchanged?
Per-student operational funding in SK decreased by 14.2% between 2013 and 2020, the second largest decline behind AB. (Fraser Institute, 2022) ⬇
The province needs to commit to investing in public education to address a decade of underfunding. Our kids deserve better.
