Donna Jean Godchaux first saw the @GratefulDead on October 4, 1970. Less than a year later, she approached Jerry at Keystone Korner and told him Keith was the Dead's new piano player. Before long, Donna joined the band herself, and would go on to share plenty more stages with Jerry.
