The Orion spacecraft, NASA's flagship vehicle built by US and European teams to return humans to the Moon, has reached a major milestone with the successful addition of its solar arrays - which marks the near end of the integration and test phase. ✨
With this latest milestone, the second Orion spacecraft is now ready for its journey to the Moon, with launch currently scheduled for next year. 📅

A true success for Europe as #Ariane6 🚀launches third major military observation satellite for France, #CSO3.
As sentinels in Space, reconnaissance satellites are an essential component of French defence capability.

The Airbus-built CSO-3 🛰️will deliver very high resolution satellite images enabling:
📍Surveillance of sensitive areas such as ports or bases
🌍Advance warning by detecting troop movements
🪖Support for military operations
The #CSO programme, managed for the French armed forces by @DGA and @CNES, is an essential asset for French sovereignty to protect citizens and take action wherever necessary.
