@EdKelly83@TipperaryRail@TFIupdates Listening to @morningireland today name Castleconnell, Nenagh, Ennis etc now being targeted by limerick college students as rental options show the new reality of the Midwest region. Stronger transport links must be made between Limerick and its commuter towns.
@ironmytinfoil@TipperaryRail@TFIupdates@morningireland Totally. If Limerick bus connects is done right & it includes a bus that regularly collects at Castleconnell & Colbert stations and travels via @UL & TUS(LIT) it will really help get people out of cars. Train needs to be much faster though.
@FrankJMcNamara @fahyjoseph @evpatterson @MaireTNC Yes - we proposed housing with rail infrastructural development in a 2016 National plan - it still looks sensible - includes some you mention and phased to change demographics and satisfy demand.
Brilliant to see all three of my books together ahead of Mission Economy’s release in paperback on Thursday.

For anyone looking for more detail why I think this is so important for all regional cities here’s my original @limerickpost article. https://t.co/Bdyej2Zkti
Fun to meet the winners of the @joinpatch_ and @ImmersiveSE TECS awards at @UL today, including overall winner Abutalha Alam (a fellow @CastletroyC student 😊)! Only 26 days left to remember to put Immersive Software Engineering on your CAO 🤓
Brilliant. Now wouldn’t it be nice to see an Irish city produce one for young and older adults - right across the city as a key part of mobility infrastructure.
Work continues in between services and last night the new rail was installed and welded into CWR at Cloughjordan station In readiness for higher line speeds. #Nenaghrail#Ballybrophyyrail#fasterjoutneys
Working with @IrishRail marketing, users of our line can get 50% of a fare from any station on the line by quoting Reopen50 on the payment page. This is valid for travel up to December 22nd. valid from Limerick, Castleconnell, Birdhill, Nenagh, Cloughjordan, Roscrea & Ballybrophy
When choosing where to shop this Christmas, don't forget your locally-owned small businesses.
If you've had a good experience with a local business be sure to tell your family and friends.

What would #TipperaryTown consumers like for their #towncentre going forward?
"Reduced #vacancy less traffic, more #cycling facilities, the establishment of a town-based click and collect service and more cultural events".

Fields and fields of Semi-Ds. Critical to our future & success of #Ireland2040 is maximising more sustainable, more compact infill and apartment development opportunities across our cities. We're failing at the moment.
Interesting paper on a City Mass Index indicating sprawled versus compact cities. Southern cities of cork, limerick and Waterford are not doing very well relative to European cities.
@EdKelly83@moranjohna1 Sustainable regeneration of local village communities + regional economic growth around existing, remaining rail network infrastructure should be modelled via 2/3 well-planned cases, to prove national inter-rail community viability. #HousingTransport@AliPHarvey
