Today we’re sharing an important update about KTX Finance.

After operating since May 2023, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down and close the project. KTX Finance will cease all operations on 28 Feb 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. Despite the team’s continued efforts, we believe an orderly and transparent wind down is the most responsible path forward for our users and community.

1️⃣ Our immediate priority is ensuring users can safely withdraw their assets.

KLP holders can fully withdraw their funds at https://t.co/vB1s6KkxyF until 28 Feb 2026.

We strongly encourage all users to withdraw any remaining funds as soon as possible to avoid last-minute issues.

If you experience any withdrawal problems, please reach out via our discord channel so we can assist.

2️⃣ What we accomplished together

We’re proud of what the community and contributors built over the past 2.5 years. Some milestones we reached:

-> Over 50,000 users
-> $11M TVL at peak (in Mar 2024)

These achievements were only possible because of the builders, traders, partners, and supporters who showed up and helped KTX grow.

You've successfully executed the exploit; your abilities in doing so are evident to anyone looking into the exploit transactions.

The white-hat bug bounty of $5 million continues to be available.

It's likely already clear to you that the decision between accepting this bounty and keeping the exploited funds is the difference between being able to spend the funds freely versus taking additional risks to access them.

We would like to reiterate that the option of the white-hat bug bounty would lead to an outcome where this $5 million can be freely spent right now. We can assist with providing proof of source of funds if that is ever needed.

If we can come to an agreement on this, the $5 million would be legitimately categorised as a white hat bounty. GLP users would be made whole, with the $5 million difference covered by the Treasury's allocated bug bounty funds, so there would be no basis for any further action.

Our initial analysis of today’s GLP exploit, conducted in collaboration with our security partners and lead auditor, still confirms that the attack vector is specific to GMX V1. The manipulation involved relates to the calculation of the short average price on V1, and the same calculation mechanism is not employed in the GMX V2 contracts.

Out of an abundance of caution, GMX had already updated the caps for the GM tokens of GMX V2 on Arbitrum and Avalanche, so that minting new tokens is currently restricted in most liquidity pools. A follow-up notification will be sent out once this restriction is lifted.

GMX will provide a detailed post-mortem analysis publicly, as soon as the investigation into the incident is complete.
