So wonderful to talk at the #AISNSWPathways forum about post-secondary opportunities and alternate entry pathways into higher education. Shout out to Professor Peter Shergold for an informative and entertaining presentation on the future of the ATAR. So fabulous :)
@HamiltonEmmaL@kiaaustralia That’s disgusting and degrading and at odds with the “modern family” values that Kia are currently advertising for their brand. I hope they’re listening, Emma.

There is so much that is wrong with this that I don’t know where to start!! I am saddened that she is clearly so indoctrinated that even after she was interrupted with his mansplaining, she described this clearly toxic culture as supportive for woman 🤯
Scott Morrison interrupted Social Services Minister Anne Ruston as she answered a question in a news conference about the workplace culture of parliament for women.

Very proud of this project @Uni_Newcastle@HunterWater and community collaboration
Such an honor today to hear our incredible Newstep/ Open Foundation students explain to Anthony Albanese MP, Emma McBride MP and Senator Deborah O’Neill about the positive impacts of enabling programs. So proud to be part of this program. We have to fight to keep it free for all!
I was the first person in my family to finish school let alone go to university. I know the difference education can make to someone's life – and these students at @Uni_Newcastle know it too.
Some local @Uni_Newcastle Ourimbah wildlife came in to express interest in our maths lecturer’s office today. Dr Allen’s response? “Well maybe he needs help with his maths. He’s clearly not an adder” 🤦♀️
The @NTEUNational submission to Senate Inquiry puts a headcount figure on #highered casuals at ~100,000. I think this is about right. The 2018 data is wrong due to the UQ data error for permanent staff. This error is going to be an annoying pimple on the HE staff data for years.
@ProfMaxLintern It’s not so much a visual metaphor but you know those escape room adventures? That’s my PhD metaphor. You have an objective, there’s a time pressure, it’s scary but exhilarating, but mostly lots of different kinds of problem solving to get you the next step closer to emerging :)
@maddi_pow@GabiLipan@APHFAberdeen Hmm great question. I feel that graduate attributes are giving status to certain outcomes over others and suggesting that some are more valuable. However in my line of research I’m really interested in how limited treatments of student success and graduate attributes intersect
