As part of the preparations for the NEWMAP-EIB project launch at the national level, the Kaduna NEWMAP-EIB team held a strategic meeting to ensure smooth and successful participation.

As part of the ongoing site inspection, the team also visited Kangimi Dam at Barkonu/Ruhogi in Igabi LGA. The visit reinforces the Kaduna State Government's commitment to climate change adaptation, resilience, and mitigation efforts in the State.

The purpose of this inspection is to implement solutions to mitigate the erosion and enhance the well-being of residents in the affected area.

The Project Coordinator, Gideon Sachi (@gsachind), led the Kaduna NEWMAP-EIB team on a site visit to Kaduna Road gully erosion site in Kafanchan, Jema'a LGA of Kaduna State, where gully erosion has significantly impacted the community.
