Tatsuya Imai, Steven Okert and Alimber Santa combined to no-hit the Texas Rangers in a 9-0 win for the Astros. Imai was making his sixth MLB start and Santa his MLB debut. It’s the first no-hitter in MLB since Sept. 2024 and the 18th in Astros franchise history. Houston is 24-31.

Jose Altuve played his 2,000th Astros game today. In a past life, I was the only reporter to talk to him after he got the call telling him he was going to the majors straight from Double-A. That was almost 15 years ago … yikes.
