I built a women's hockey academy in Kazakhstan. 5 teams, 120+ girls, 20 coaches.

Now I'm in Toronto and I keep thinking — does something like this exist here for girls?

Anyone in the GTA hockey world know the answer? 🏒

First Kazakhstani woman in the NWHL → retired with no plan → kept posting → 100+ athletes found Canadian ice through my content → accidentally built a sports agency.

Honesty online is underrated. 🏒

[Bulbul Kartanbay @kartanbay]

I built a sports agency with no business plan, no MBA, and no connections.

Just an Instagram account and a decade of pro hockey discipline.

Social media didn't support my career. It became my career. 🏒

If you're a hockey club, arena, brand, or content creator in the Toronto area — I want to talk. This is more than a camp. It's a bridge between two hockey cultures.

🇰🇿 Back home in Kazakhstan, I run the Women’s Hockey Academy — a space created only for girls who want to play hockey 🏒👧🏻👧🏼👧🏽👧

We started in 2021 with the support of the President. What began with just 6 players has now grown into a powerful community of over 150 girls

[Bulbul Kartanbay @kartanbay]

We’re trying to survive, adapt, and keep the doors open for every girl who wants to skate.

If you have ideas, connections, or simply want to stand with us — please message me.
Women’s hockey matters. Girls in Kazakhstan matter.
Let’s make sure they know that. 💛🏒
