Exactly this. Surely each “paper” should become an interactive website where you can alter parameters of the model (if theory) or run alternative analyses of the data (if empirics); converse w an LLM about the paper and findings; stress test etc
Paper documents a laffer curve for taxing top-incomes in South Africa: marginal rates went up, tax receipts went down. I'm less persuaded by the evidence it was partially due to reduced labor supply, not (just) tax avoidance/evasion -- but a policy challenge either way.

I was stunned to see this paper’s early results ten years ago and amazed to see how well they’ve held up. Amazing evidence on the transformative power of narrative.
The 'Rhodesia Solution': How to use word tricks to 'disclose' a scandal to a Prime Minister while allowing him not to act. And to say, later on, that he wasn't really told...

.@DanNeidle is right and I would add: it's the young grads on ~£50-80k who are disproportionately bearing the brunt of the freeze.
A 30 year old earning 50% above median wages would have paid ~£10-11k in taxes and loan repayments in 2020. A 30 year old in 2030 will pay almost double that, a huge rise relative to wage growth.
This is it. The freeze disproportionately hits the highest earning 20%. Doesn’t really touch the top 1%.
We’ve accidentally created a unique kind of progressive taxation aimed at those earning about £50k to 150k
