Just had a reply to a support email to HMRC online services a year ago about my VAT, pity I’ve now retired. Maybe I’ll get a reply to my letter of 2 years ago about an incorrect VAT penalty too!

@stwater thanks for turning our pumping station back on remotely after we reported it and averting an emergency, surprised nobody came back to us to check all was OK

@stwater So the call centre operative was totally inaccurate then in saying an engineer would be here in 2 hours when she meant two days, do you suggest all the residents move to a hotel for two days and send you the bill ?

@stwater so it’s going to take you 48 hours to attend to your failed pumping station, meanwhile 9 houses can’t use the toilet or have any water??
