Fighting for truth and justice in Wolves Nation

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@DietBeginsMon Been less connected to wolves twitter during the offseason. Great to see you’re still firing on all cylinders

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@companeromarcus Sandwiched right in between Wemby and Flagg, too

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@DietBeginsMon

This has to be an age record on a 2-way contract

[Shams Charania @ShamsCharania]

Free agent guard Pat Spencer has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Phoenix Suns, sources tell ESPN. Spencer's role grew across three seasons in Golden State, where he averaged 7.2 points and 18.6 minutes last season.

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@JacksonLloyd I think it’s easier to look like a genius trader and asset manager when

A) you are trading with teams trying to win

B) you are trying to lose

Great value for Kessler, but I thought the Jazz were supposed to start winning again this season. How does this trade help with that?

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

Ironically, Leonard Miller and Josh Minott would both have a great chance of earning minutes at the 4 on the 2026/27 Minnesota Timberwolves

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

Alright Tim Connelly can go to hell

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

Holding out the tiniest sliver of hope that Rudy -> Charlotte is in the works and Christian Anderson will be a Wolf

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

I’m a Connelly apologist, but seeing the Wolves come out of an all-time point guard draft empty-handed is pretty devastating

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

If Tim can somehow get into the late teens, he can snag a great point guard. Make it happen

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@DietBeginsMon I’ve accepted that Connelly is not a value-extracting exec à la Danny Ainge.

Connelly maintains organizational harmony and doesn’t present as a guy looking to screw you over in trade or contract negotiations. Has downsides but certainly helps get deals done.

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

The Randle asset management is bad, but I wanted the keys turned over to Jaden and Naz this offseason, and they have been turned over. Time to find out how good this core is

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@DietBeginsMon Not sure who the Wolves were bidding against for Ayo above the MLE.

Like or hate it, Tim seems to prioritize getting deals done and preserving player relationships over squeezing out max value in negotiations.

Only about 13% of the cap, though. Doubt it’s a toxic contract

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@BeardSports @Perrywinkle1267 That’s my stance. Might as well find out now if that’s the case

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

One thing not to ignore about this Ayo contract number:

The $22m AAV seems to be almost intentionally designed to help salary-match in some future trade for a max guy

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@companeromarcus At this stage, getting off Randle for nothing of consequence, without having to take back another potentially bad contract in the trade, is a huge win

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

Seeing Trae Young get 4/$212m in the year 2026 makes me believe there’s gotta be a taker somewhere out there for Julius Randle at 2/$69m

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@companeromarcus @thisisMNsports I also have little interest in removing the 4-year albatross max contract from the Spurs’ books, which is the main thing currently preventing them from constructing an unbeatable roster

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

Doomer takes about offseason RUMORS are my least favorite kind of Wolves Twitter content. It’s okay to wait for something to actually happen (or not happen) before you call for Connelly’s head

[Katticus Finch @katticusfinch]

@maplewedgie Obv this would be bad, but I think it’s a nothing burger. Of course Ayo is going to say he’s “open” to any team. He’s a free agent, and saying otherwise would hurt his leverage
