More and more kids are draft eligible after their sophomore year because they’re 21 that ever before. It used to be one every now and then but Arkansas had three portal guys plus Wiggins draft eligible this year.

Kids are older now than 20-25 years ago, starting school later it seems.

Bottom line is Draft will be in June. Negotiations will be a little different and bonuses and bonus pools will be changed.

MLB collective bargaining update: the players' union today made a proposal on the amateur draft, which it wants to move to June.

@razorbackjfk Diaz has signed with Seattle and Cleary changed his profile on instagram to Guardians.

@mashedtaterhog @HAWGYStyle Some are. One freshman at a sec program got 1.5 million spread over 3 years. And that was a top 50 player that could’ve been a 2-4 round pick.

High end programs have 5 million dollar rosters in college baseball. I put Arkansas around 3.5-4 million this coming year.

Wills Maginnis signed with Boston for $250,00. 100K will count towards Red Sox bonus pool.

This should give fans an idea of what Arkansas is offering and paying for a sun belt infielder top 40 transfer. My guess is he got 150K to come to Arkansas. May be a little more but not much.

Ben Cleary and Chris Diaz have yet to announce if they’ve signed from everything I know.

Not only did the Mets draft Kuhio Aloy, they paid 70K over the 150K that will count towards their bonus pool.
