Wow! When even schools recognise that LTNs are a bad idea since they cause wider congestion which makes it more difficult for children to get to and from school you know that the whole LTN project was fatally flawed. RIP!
Let’s hope @JudiciaryUK sees sense and dismisses @SaveBGstreets appeal against the judge’s decision & the democratically elected mayor @LutfurRahmanTH when it goes back to court soon. Millionaire siblings of disgraced individuals can’t be allowed to overturn a democratic vote.
Congratulations to West Dulwich Action Group (WDAG) which has won a landmark ruling against Lambeth Council over a trial LTN. We've posted Steve Bird's article on the KIM website here: https://t.co/IDDnGIIMhC Worth reading in full!
An FOI has revealed that Islington Council now receives a whopping £7million per year on average from PCNs related to LTNs - see https://t.co/rpptXmDLXp. We believe this is the highest level in the UK.
Breaking News
Excellent article from Andrew Ellson of the Times on research showing that of 90 LTNs locals opposed them in 87% of cases: https://t.co/yM9YcU8oNc.
Shocking expose by @andrewellson in The Times of how LTNs and cycle lanes are paralysing bus transport in London boroughs. Hackney is singled out as on of the worst offenders, but Islington is probably just as bad. @RowChampion @Paul_Convery @UnaOHalloran
Interesting "unintended experiment" happening on Offord Road within the proposed Barnsbury.Laycock LTN, where closures for water works are already causing congestion on neighbouring boundary roads. Council please take note @RowChampion @Paul_Convery @IslingtonMayor
LTNs Low Traffic Neighbourhoods
When will the MSM have a proper balanced debate on LTNs?
Politicians have proved themselves incapable so it is now up to journalists to do something.

The Islington officer @Paul_Convery refers to is Matt Bononi who is hell-bent on LTNs which will discriminate against the disadvantaged (the old, infirm, or disabled), anyone living on a main road, and most small businesses. Why does he have such influence on a Labour Council?
And here's another monster LTN proposal under the joint control of Islington and Camden councils: https://t.co/yUCyzW6WR8 Their war on cars threatens to disrupt the free movement of people and goods throughout the whole of Islington and beyond. How do we stop this madness?
Despite the recent government guidance it seems Islington Council is hell-bent on introducing yet more LTNs - this time at Annette Rd in Nags Head. See https://t.co/pqGADfxNR0 Please make your views known via [email protected]
Check out this post on Nextdoor: https://t.co/KUBr71w0ms - Islington Council's LTN programme discriminates against disabled people and its Blue Badge exemption policy doesn't work.
@SocEnvJustice Fantastic speech by Andrew Martin exposing the total failure of Islington Council's individual exemption policy to address the real harm which LTNs impose on disabled people. The only solution of course is to abandon LTNs altogether - they simply don't work.
@IslingtonBC@KayaJunction Hi Kaya. This review by BID/BDC of the proposed traffic filtering in Barnsbury.Laycock highlighted the negative effects on the local business community, who overwhelmingly oppose the plans. Will the Council now abandon these plans as a result? @RowChampion @Paul_Convery
