In 2015, @BarackObama appointed me to the National College Promise Board, led by @DrBiden. We established 400 College Promise Programs nationally, including in West Sacramento, where our Home Run program instituted universal preschool and provided tuition-free public college for every high school senior.
These past three years, I have been overjoyed to watch @POTUS continue the work we started on College Promise, fighting relentlessly to mitigate the impacts of crippling student debt by pausing payments during the pandemic, going after predatory institutions that seek to rip off students, and making historic investments in community colleges across America.
I am running for Senate to make sure every kid in California has access to affordable college and workforce training they need to succeed.
Yesterday, @JDVance1 claimed that Trump could defy rulings of the Supreme Court as President. Vance also admitted he would have done what VP Pence refused to do on January 6th—help Trump illegally seize power. That’s tyranny. Neither Trump nor Vance is fit to serve.
I think @lakeithlakeith is just so good. SO good. That's a star. But I'm watching the #thechangeling now & I so wish there was a better actor as the woman w/ the asymmetrical haircut. Sorry but...just wrong. Plus the haircut. (How?)
Yesterday, Speaker Johnson suggested Trump could ignore rulings by 61 courts & defy our Constitution because Trump supposedly “believed” he won. Mike knows the election was not stolen and that a President who defies the rulings of our courts & attempts to seize power is a tyrant.
After Hamas slaughters hundreds of Jewish families, and Israel confronts an unprecedented security crisis, Donald Trump attacks the Israeli govt and praises Hezbollah terrorists. Are Republicans really going to nominate this dangerous man to be President of the United States?
Dianne Feinstein was a political giant. An undeniable champion for California, an early voice on gun violence prevention, and a trailblazer for women leaders, her legacy will live on for generations.

Faulkner: One of the things he did comes across as rather petty. Rather than waiting for Nancy Pelosi or somebody to come back, he takes her office while she is memorializing Dianne Feinstein.
For new, temporary Republican House leaders to take away Speaker Emerita Pelosi's private office, with threat of lockout (while she is in SF helping plan the memorial service for Senator Feinstein), is a disgrace and not the way a great nation like our USA should ever behave.
