In observance of Independence Day, the Kenton County PVA Office will be closed Friday, July 3. We wish everyone across Kenton County a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend as we celebrate the freedoms and communities that make our country strong.
Curious what your neighbor purchased their home for, or what the homes similar to yours are selling for?
Our office provides the monthly sales for all single-family homes and more on our website: https://t.co/wL2yVCBjdF.
If you own and occupy your home as your primary residence, you may be eligible for an exemption that reduces the taxable value of your property. For 2025 and 2026, the exemption amount is $49,100.

The PVA Office determines the assessed value of property. Tax rates are set by local taxing districts, and tax bills are handled separately. Questions? Contact our Office
Fairness is ALWAYS our goal.
Before assessments are finalized, they are reviewed and approved by the Kentucky Department of Revenue to ensure they reflect the market.
Our job is to keep assessed values in line with actual market sales—not to raise or lower taxes.
Did You Know? We don’t “pick” your property value.
We are also required to physically review properties on a set cycle and follow state guidelines.
We are bound by law to ensure fairness and consistency for all property owners.
The PVA does NOT
❌ Set tax rates
❌ Issue tax bills
❌ Collect taxes
❌ Make laws affecting property owners
Our role is to ensure property is assessed fairly and accurately based on market value.
We realize the impact our work has on tax bills, and it's a responsibility we take seriously every single day.
Our office is bound by law to assess property at 100% fair market value.
