I am mildly allergic to cucumbers. (My throat gets hella itchy.)
Today I ate a cucumber and really needed some Benadryl, but all our on-campus markets are closed for the summer.
The best advice my mom ever told me: Find a mom.
Found a mom. Got some much needed Benadryl. 😎
This year I decided to take the summer off from teaching (it’s optional at my university). At first I felt guilty for doing so, but now that I am crawling to make it to the end of this final week of school, every single ounce of that guilt is gone.
My department has yet to give me a name tag for my office (despite being full time faculty for two whole years now). I joked about it with a student who comes to office hours, AND THEY 3D PRINTED ME A NAME TAG.
I cry.
I got SUCH rich questions!!!!!!!
I was frantically typing at some moments since a lot asked questions after they were done watching the video at the same time, but it was so worth it!!!
I required each of them to ask me ✨one✨ question during class via the private chat with me.
The lecture video was only 20 minutes. So, during our 50 minute class, they had time to watch and pause the video as needed and ask me anything before, during, or after watching.

I’m currently a “part time” PhD student.
From my experience (and honestly most heavily due to my own psyche), part PhD = full time PhD.
Just finished whining to my husband about how I’m tired of working all week and then on the weekend as well. I really want my weekends back.
