Thai authorities have arrested a 39-year-old Israeli national in Pai, Mae Hong Son, as part of an ongoing crackdown on foreign-owned businesses suspected of using Thai nominees to bypass ownership restrictions. Investigators allege the suspect was involved in operating a studio business through arrangements that violated Thailand’s Foreign Business Act.

The arrest followed a coordinated operation involving police, immigration officers, tourist police, and local officials. Authorities say inspections of foreign business activities in Pai will continue as part of wider efforts to investigate suspected nominee networks and ensure compliance with Thai law.
