Every summer, when school meal programs pause, thousands of children across Ottawa face greater food insecurity.

To help bridge that gap, the @khalsaaidca team partnered with @oddbunchcanada and 31 schools across the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board to ensure more families have access to nutritious food throughout the summer.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of students, parents, educators, and community partners, every pound collected by participating schools is matched and distributed to over 30 organizations across Ottawa, helping food banks, shelters, summer camps, and community programs support those who need it most.🙏🏻

Food insecurity doesn't take a summer vacation—and neither does our community.
Every pound collected helps provide a meal.
