Additionally, ₹6.86 crore has been released in Q1 FY 2026–27 as remuneration for coaches and Sports Science staff at Khelo India State Centres of Excellence.

Congratulations to Neeru on her historic Women's Trap Gold at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun in Lonato, Italy.

She has etched her name in history as the first Indian woman trap shooter to win a World Cup Gold medal.

Neeru Dhanda has emerged as one of India’s brightest shooting stars with a string of remarkable achievements. She created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win gold in the Women’s Trap event at an ISSF Shotgun World Cup, clinching the title in Lonato, Italy—her maiden individual ISSF World Cup gold and India’s first gold at the tournament.

Her journey reflects sustained excellence, having also won bronze in the Mixed Team Trap at the ISSF World Cup in Almaty, the 2025 Asian Championship title, four consecutive Khelo India University Games gold medals, and the 68th National Shooting Championship.

Neeru’s remarkable rise is a testament to perseverance, consistent hard work and India’s growing strength in international shooting. Her achievements continue to inspire a new generation of young shooters and reaffirm India’s emergence as a global force in the sport.
