Your issue was with Amorim, not Manchester United. Yet in your farewell message you thanked Aston Villa, Barcelona and their managers, while completely leaving out the club that continued paying your wages.

I’m not in favour of keeping Rashford for the sake of the dressing room. We have players earning far less who run themselves into the ground for this badge every week. Keeping a higher-paid player who no longer wants to be here sends the wrong message.

The best outcome for everyone is a permanent move. For your own England career, you need to be playing regularly.
