Today, seeing our KIITians and KISSians represent Odisha and India at national and international platforms gives us immense satisfaction. From our young tribal sportspersons to our international athletes, every achievement makes the entire KIIT & KISS family proud.

National Sports Day 2026 at KIIT was a celebration of sporting excellence, recognising the dedication, discipline and achievements of our talented sportspersons and coaches.

As the nation observes National Sports Day over three days this year, we proudly stand with India’s sporting community and its aspirations for the future. With a vision to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and the 2036 Olympic Games, KIIT remains committed to nurturing champions and strengthening India’s sporting ecosystem.

Together, let us empower our athletes to reach the highest level and bring greater glory to the nation.

We at KIIT organised a Cybersecurity Awareness Event to strengthen awareness about emerging cyber threats and promote responsible digital practices among our staff members.

The session featured Mr Lingaraj Sethi, Information Security Researcher and Cyber Security Expert, as the Guest Speaker. He shared valuable insights into the evolving cybersecurity landscape and highlighted the importance of adopting secure and responsible digital practices in an increasingly connected world.

During the interactive session, Mr Sethi addressed contemporary cybersecurity threats and shared practical measures to safeguard digital information, online accounts, and institutional resources. He emphasised strong passwords, secure authentication, vigilance against suspicious links and communications, protection of sensitive information, and responsible use of digital platforms.

The session brought together 1,200 KIITIANS, providing participants with valuable insights into common cyber risks and preventive measures while reinforcing the importance of building a strong culture of cybersecurity awareness across the KIIT community.

Our thoughts are with all members of the KIIT, KISS & KIMS family in Nepal, especially those whose families and loved ones have been affected by the devastating floods.

We are also concerned about our students, staff, alumni and their families in the vulnerable areas of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, where the developing flood situation is being closely monitored.

At this difficult time, we stand together as one family. Those affected are requested to remain in touch with the University and share their situation so that all possible support may be extended.

We at KIIT took a step towards building a healthier, stronger and drug-free community through the Nasha Mukti Rally, organised by NSS SCE KIIT as part of its Health and Fitness Awareness initiative at Tarini Vihar Slum.

With enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, the rally spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraged community members to embrace a healthy, active and drug-free lifestyle.

Organised by KIIT and the Digital Humanities Alliance for Research & Teaching Innovations (DHARTI), the conference will be held from 18–20 December 2026 at KIIT-DU, Bhubaneswar.

We hosted an expert guest lecture by Dr Sukanya Ray, Associate Professor of Psychology, Suffolk University, Boston, USA, on “Inter-professional Collaboration as a Model for Growth,” organised by COIR – Behavioural & Neurosciences, KSOM.

With 300+ students, research scholars and faculty members participating, the session explored how collaborative mentoring and interdisciplinary learning can nurture critical thinking, confidence, cultural competence, leadership and advocacy.

The engaging discussions also highlighted inclusive pedagogy, experiential learning, curriculum innovation and ethical AI preparedness, inspiring us to strengthen collaborative approaches in teaching and research.

The session concluded with an insightful faculty interaction, opening avenues for meaningful academic collaboration between KIIT and Suffolk University.
