Hi, my name is Xavid. I love working on fun little video-game programming projects. Let's Connect โ๐ป
Currently making retro classics on the esp32.
Made an Android game with Unity.
Learning to create chess using bitboard logic in plain C.
Also, 2nd year Computer Science Engineering student, if that makes a difference to you.
I would like nothing more than having cool tech weirdos ๐

I spent the last 8 hours writing up hundreds of lines of code (mostly redundant), only to git reset --hard at the end.
Today was a lame day. I'm little more wise thanks to today. But it was agonizing tbh.

@NewsAlgebraIND He's not representative of the "public", so I hope no one watching this blatantly follows his words.
He's not India's #1 well wisher, and while they claim Modi to be a dictator, they do exactly that by throwing young people at the forefront to fight their agendas.
Rendering happens with the help of a most infamous algorithm - Bubblฤ Sort!
It's so simple but blows my mind every time I see my animals move past each other as if they're real!

The home base isn't peaceful anymore. I always have to look after them, lest they run out of screen.
Kidding - they will only move around within a specific rectangle area! No one's running away ;)

@SolValleys This is the first I'm hearing of your game. Which looks fantastic btw. I've just set up a simple base for the player to move around and am testing animal wandering, object interaction, etc. ๐ ๐

Updated the world to load a 3x2 block of map at a time!
Camera follows the player within world bounds.
World needs more objects, needs to look habitable and believable.

I realize my progress is slow, and I'm not adding revolutionary features. But it's my first time making a game from scratch, using plain C and #raylib.
So the learning experience and mistakes and clean up and organizing and refactoring is what I'm most proud of.

LMFAO @SolValleys your game looks very similar ๐คฃ๐
Is everyone using the same recycled assets now a days and not being unique?
Sorry I had to say it. The assets and sprites are nice but what if 100x projects use the same shit ๐ ๐
Good luck don't let my words discourage you. Looks nice regardless, but people need to start seeing the facts. @kingxavid
@EBD416@SolValleys Freeware assets are a great way to get started, test baseline ideas, etc. I'm a rookie trying to learn the art of video game programming. The asset pack helps me worry less about new sprites, and let's me work solely on adding gameplay features.
