Before our Flood Operations & Maintenance team begins work along the river our environmental team conducts surveys to check for active nests and other sensitive species in project areas. If found, we set up protective buffer zones or adjust our work timeline to avoid disturbance.

Sonja Thiede, Associate Resource Analyst at KRCD, recently presented at the 2025 @Esri Central California Water User Group Meeting at the offices of @Fresnofid. Sonja presented on the multiple ways KRCD leverages GIS technology across various programs & projects.
KRCD and KRWA recently had the privilege of joining @RepVinceFong and Colonel McTighe from @USACESacramento and their staffs at Pine Flat Dam to discuss a proposed feasibility study on raising the spillway at Pine Flat Dam by 12 feet.
