Wicknell Chivayo and his wife were finally laid to rest, bringing to an end an era of a man who was both loved and hated equally in Africa. He died as one of the wealthiest young African men.
They say Kenya is currently an active construction site. This lady is wantam but can’t help appreciate what’s happening. By 2027 the Tutam wave will hit so many people because it will be track record vs rhetoric. As she puts it ‘msipinge kila hata zile mzuri mzuri’
It is Rigathi who was personally commanding this operation, he used to be in office by 4am to ensure bullets run everywhere to scatter the protests. That Rigathi today is working with Sifuna.
The audacity is unreal: the very regime whose security forces shot at Raila's convoy and nearly took his life during the 2023 protests is now weaponizing his legacy, lecturing us on how much they 'loved' and 'valued' his vision. Buana I can never board such a charade!
Don’t lower your guard on Ebola precautions because your favorite opposition politician said it’s a way of govt to make money or a Twitter kisser said it’s a hoax. This is where you don’t let your conscience don’t leave your body because of dimwits!
The desperate massaging in attempt to lure Raila followers to opposition is not going to work, we’ve been in the trenches to know how politics, treachery works. This time the resolve been made. If being Ruto is wrong & going to leave us in opposition, so be it, we’re used to it.
A reminder that the construction of Sh7 billion Nithi Bridge is at an advanced stage and so far no court case seeking all manner of applications to halt it, no objections raised in parliament, President also announced Thika Expressway, also TOTAL silence..you know what’s on here!
“Uhuru is setting up the opposition for failure telling them to come up with one candidate against Ruto. His main aim with LM is that Ruto doesn’t inherit entire Raila’s traditional base. Shit will hit the fan when candidates won’t agree on one, many will join Ruto”~Odoyo Owidi.
A family that was once deeply respectable and honored. Sadly, people in that family are leaving the earth one by one still carrying with them the legacy of having betrayed the greatest call of a frustrated generation of Young Kenyans.
Oburu Odinga looked at a generation whose frustration had only grown deeper especially after Baba died and said “FUCK your frustrations, all we want is Power for ourselves and I must help the tyrant Ruto to be re-elected !”
He kicked out Edwin Sifuna, Babu Owino, Crystal Asige and all the young dissidents who refused to abandon the call of the young people.
If Winnie Odinga and Raila Odinga Jr. choose to carry the same legacy, then so be it. But history will also remember their betrayal, and it will be etched into the memory of the very young generation they chose to abandon.
May he rest in peace. But may history never rest from telling the truth !
They celebrate the death of our leaders and some of our deluded leaders want us to work with people who have zero respect and empathy for what purpose again? Baba must be rolling in his grave. Wan wan! Gin Gin!
To my fellow Luos,
Read deeply into what it means when the deaths of our leaders become a source of celebration, and political entertainment.
They celebrated the death of Raila.
Today, some are already speculating about the death of Dr. Oburu.
We must not dismiss these things as merely political banter. There is a deeper question we must confront about the contempt and disdain that is directed at Luo leadership and, by extension, the Luo community.
Raila never controlled the instruments of government. He never had the power to independently determine government policy. Dr. Oburu is merely a senator. Yet the intensity of the hatred directed at them is greater than that directed at people who actually held executive power and presided over governments. Uhuru Kenyatta is a hero today.
Perhaps we have been too willing to sacrifice our own interests in the pursuit of a broader national project. A thankless struggle.
We have repeatedly invested in Kenya's democratic institutions, constitutionalism and national unity, while others have been far more deliberate about protecting and advancing their own political interests.
Today they have toads and infrastructure and they keep laughing at us.
Let us learn from what we are witnessing.
“If Baba were alive, ODM would’ve remained intact and no one would run away with one leg to a confused corner that has become Linda Mwananchi, Linda Nini nini..But Kenyans are not fools, they have no future.” Anglican Bishop Kodia who was Raila’s spiritual leader says.
Baba is gone but his story will forever live in generations to come. Ruto is a man of his words, gave Raila a coveted state funeral and now the Raila Amolo Odinga Mausoleum has been unveiled with military precision. Baba continues to live with us.
President Ruto will today preside over the handover of the completed Raila Odinga Mausoleum to the family in a military-led ceremony at Bondo, Kang’o ka Jaramogi.
This will be a closely knit ceremony of invites only, however the public will follow proceedings nearby.
