To the glory of Almighty God, I chose to mark my birthday not with a mere party, but with a profound reaffirmation of my commitment to the people of Yagba East and the progressive vision of our great leaders.
For me, leadership is only as good as the lives it transforms.
Here is how we celebrated a milestone through service and empowerment:
We kicked off the day by commissioning six (6) solar-powered motorized boreholes strategically located across Yagba East communities. Access to clean water shouldn’t be a luxury; it’s a necessity. These boreholes are designed to ease the burden on our women and children and improve public health for all.
As a firm believer in the progressive agenda, and to ensure the gains of today are protected for tomorrow, I formally inaugurated the Tinubu/Ododo 2027 Continuity Support Group.
This is our grassroots pledge of loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's "Renewed Hope" and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s "Consolidation" mandate.
We didn't just talk; we acted. My goal was to inject direct capital into our local economy:
Grassroots Support: ₦50,000 each to hundreds of beneficiaries across 6 wards to stimulate small-scale trade.
Entrepreneurship: ₦250,000 each to 35 business owners to scale their enterprises.
Party Strengthening: ₦15 Million to APC Ward and LG Executives, plus ₦1 Million each to our 5 dedicated APC Women Leaders.
Empowerment means providing the tools to work:
A Bus was donated to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Yagba East Chapter.
4 Cars presented to loyal party stakeholders.
10 Motorcycles for grassroots mobilization.
10 Deep Freezers, 10 Generators, 10 Hair Dryers, 10 Clippers, and 10 Branding Machines were also distributed.
To ensure no one was left out of the celebration, we distributed:
1,000 Bags of Rice (10kg & 5kg) to our party faithful and the vulnerable.
1,000 Pieces of Wrappers to our resilient mothers and women.
My gratitude goes to the royal fathers, party leaders, and the entire Yagba East community. I remain your humble servant, dedicated to the prosperity of Kogi State.
Onward and upward.

Black Thursday in Bunu Land
Respected grassroots politician and union leader, Durowaye Folusho (aka Quality), was found murdered on his farm in Akutupa Bunu. Until his death, he was Chairman of Bunu Drivers Union, Lorry Branch 1. His killing has sparked fresh concerns over rising
Earlier today, I visited the family of the late Ayo Aiyepeku to offer my condolences and support during this difficult time.
The news of Ayo's passing is heartbreaking, and it is a clear case of human wickedness.
Ayo was more than just a son of our community; he was a valued member of my team whose photographic talent was truly commendable.
I have lost a wonderful soul, and I can only imagine the pain his family is experiencing. I came to comfort them and to share in their grief.
I pray that the Almighty will uphold this family and grant them the strength to get through this traumatic period.
I want to assure you that the Kogi State government and our security agencies are working tirelessly to uncover the truth behind Ayo's death and to find the alleged murderer, Pelumi.
We are also committed to implementing critical measures, including stricter hotel regulations and new technology, to prevent such terrible incidents from happening again in our state.
We will not abandon this family; we will continue to extend our love and support to them.
May Ayo’s soul rest in peace.
The Tragic Loss of an Invaluable member cum asset: Ayo Aiyepeku
Ayo's gruesome murder has left the Asiwaju Asiru Foundation (AAF) grieving the loss of an invaluable member and asset.
The untimely death of Ayo Aiyepeku, CEO of AY Creativity Thrive Ventures, at the hands of his murderer is not only heartbreaking and disheartening, but more disturbing is that a promising, focused, and incredibly useful youth was abruptly cut short in his prime.
As a foundation, his death cut so deep and came as a rude shock. Not because we are oblivious to the mortality of every human, but rather because we were so endeared by his alluring values that promoted hard work, humility, diligence, discipline, creativity, and a commitment to excellence beyond the distractions of our perverse society.
Ayo was a very active, behind-the-scenes member of AAF, yet his impact permeated our spaces and was evident in our visuals with great delight.
Just before his brutal murder, we had reached a conclusive agreement with him for him to be my official photographer and, by extension, to cover all the activities of the foundation.
All proposals had been vetted, and equipment to be purchased had been approved, but then the unfortunate happened.
Our beautiful and classic pictures that dotted the media space prior to the 2023 APC gubernatorial ticket primaries were the handiwork of Ayo.
The recently concluded MAAI Network for Governor Ododo MSME Support Grant initiative also witnessed his optical prowess, and the pictures he churned out were a testament to his capacity with the camera.
AAF engaged him for purposeful service, but a devil in human form ensnared him for painful destruction. So pathetic! So grievous!
We have lost him in the most painful manner, but his cherished memories will continue to catalyze our journey as a people and also inspire everyone of us to remember that it is possible to be a blended package of capacity and character in whatever craft or profession we find ourselves.
We implore the security agencies and apparatus in the state to ensure that the monstrous murderer of Ayo, who is still at large, must be fished out by all means possible to face the wrath of the law without hesitation.
Rest in power, Ayo. Those who dimmed your light just as it was rising will never know peace.
May your gentle soul rest in peace, AY.
Signed,
Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,
DG, AAF
