I'm finally reading Dune. This quote, which is in the first few pages, hits hard:
"Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
There really aren’t any rules. You just go to court. If it fails, go to court again until a judge says you’re all set.
Want a 7th year?
Sure
Broke rules?
Ahhhh, it’s fine.
There AREN’T any rules.
I’m dead serious about this: Pavel Datsyuk
Was overhyped basically his entire career because he had sick moves and played on a dynasty team.
But in reality he was just a good skilled forward not anywhere near “generational”
Working on a horrible take that there’s basically zero difference between Marshawn Lloyd and Jonathan Brooks except one of them is on a much better team, is behind a starting RB with suspension risk, and has never torn his ACL multiple times
Anytime the top of the bat almost points at the pitcher during stride, thats a long way to go to catch up with velocity. Abbreviate the load a bit. Get him to think thru the centerfield wall, not over it. That will allow front elbow to go more directly to the ball. He has a bit of an arm bar (straightening) of that elbow, which also is slowing him down. Hope it helps…
A guy calls his broker and asks about egg futures.
Broker says they’re at 25 cents.
Guy says, “Alright, buy me 100 contracts.”
A week later he calls again.
Broker says, “Good call. They’re at 35 cents now.”
Guy gets excited and buys 1,000 more.
Few days later, he calls again. Eggs are at 50 cents.
Now he thinks he’s a genius, so he buys 100,000 contracts.
Next day they’re at 65 cents. He buys a million.
Then they’re at 95 cents. He buys another million.
Then $1.25. He buys another million.
Next day, eggs are trading at $1.75.
He finally thinks, alright, this is probably enough. Time to take profit.
So he tells his broker, “Sell 2 million contracts.”
After a long silence, broker finally says:
“Sell to who? You’re the egg guy.”
yup, i've added an explosive movement in each of my workouts the second i turned 40.. broad/box jump, slam balls, twitchy landmine movements, fly box (holy shit i took for granted how in shape i was when i first did this routine)
Not going to lie, I’ve pretty much abandoned all plyometric work from my fitness routine.
Saw Zach’s post today and it hit different.
If I want to keep up with my kids as they get older and future grandkids, I need to be able to jump.
Go jump. 👊🏿
It’s June, which means it’s travel ball time….which means it’s time for my yearly post:
High school kids SHOULD NOT BE SWINGING WOOD BATS IN SUMMER TOURNAMENTS!
Kyler Murray is on a 1-year vet minimum contract this year, due to hit free agency next year
Is this finally the year we see max-effort Kyler break fantasy leagues? Or is he going to be more concerned with his kill-to-death ratio than his win-loss record?
