@scarthomas Picked it up randomly from a charity shop and I'm so glad I did, life can be so dam overwhelming, reading this I just got lost in it and wanted to stay there, now I have to be Kris again, that or reread it again, wonderful book.
“Civilized life, you know, is based on a huge number of illusions in which we all collaborate willingly. The trouble is we forget after a while that they are illusions and we are deeply shocked when reality is torn down around us.”
― J.G. Ballard
Is God real or is he made-up?
God exists as consciousness from various perspectives (plant, animal, human, some even would insist that minerals and AI can potentially be conscious) to the degree that one is able to comprehend God.
All these experiences both operating at the same time and at different points in time, like stars that burn brightly and fade out.
because we are conscious, we have developed a set of Laws how to treat others.
this is called the Torah.
the Torah explained in five seconds would be
'Treat others how they would like to be treated.'
that establishes a level of fairness and balance for people, which are conscious, to operate on.
When we die, we lose consciousness, and the story ends.
Heartbreaking beautiful story thank you @mikegayle in the middle of a difficult period in my life and can relate to this book so much, I couldn't keep away from it, amazing work and beautifully told.
If You can Be Aware of something- that something cannot Be You:
Silence
Sound
Language
Thought
Feelings
Emotions
Sensations
Space
Light
Darkness
Body
Identity
NONE of these can Be You.
You are Nothing Perceivable or Conceivable.
You are simply THAT which is AWARE.
Spiritual maturity is simply returning to the Innocence of a child…
Go back to the Beginning.
Unwind all that You have learned.
Keep a “don’t know” Mind.
Realize this Purity within You.
You are the Formless and Timeless Witness.
Be Silently Aware…
Walk the Pathless Path.
The world is appearing within Your Mind…
You are projecting this entire Universe.
Stop focusing on what appears.
Turn around.
Be Silent.
Close Your eyes.
Be Aware of the breath.
Be Aware of the passing moment.
This AWARENESS does not pass.
Formless.
Timeless.
You…
