Truthfully, you would think it’s Louie’s birthday everyday because he’s just so loved! He turned 12 last weekend and celebrated with a doggie sundae, boat rides, and lots of love. We love you, Lou!!!🎉
Terribly sad news. Mark was first my boss, and then quickly became a mentor and friend. His smile could light up a room, and his zest for life and the work he did was unmatched. Rest easy, my friend.
We are grieving the loss of our friend and former Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Commissioner Mark Phillips, who passed away yesterday. Mark retired on Jan. 2, after serving as our commissioner under both Gov. Mark Dayton and Gov. Tim Walz. https://t.co/QT3DGWaQQi
Great to see the Iron Man getting some well-deserved recognition! It’s a good reminder of how we got to where we are today. Funny fact: when we were kids my Grandma Dee (a true prankster) used to tell us the Iron Man was her boyfriend😂 I won’t confirm or deny if I fell for it….
The Iron Man takes the spotlight!
Thanks to @kare11 for highlighting a memorial in Chisholm that honors the impact of iron miners. We highly recommend making your way to Chisholm to check it out, and learn why it means so much to so many people! https://t.co/UbDtDJsf7z
My great grandpa worked at this underground mine so today was extra special. Preserving our history is so important! Thank you to everyone who made this project happen! #mining
Today we celebrated the Bruce Mine Headframe Park & Trailhead in Chisholm! It is the last headframe of underground mining on the Mesabi Range. This is a way to honor thousands of immigrant miners and their descendants who developed the Mesabi Iron Range. Congrats to all involved!
We ship these items near and far! It’s such a cool way for us to reach new people and places. After all, if we don’t share our story, who will? It’s up to us to connect with folks about this incredibly important industry! #mining#education
Hundreds of pellet kits, magnets, and other IMA items going out to different organizations today! We love to receive requests for these education materials. It gives folks the opportunity to learn about the iron mining industry and how important it is to all of us!
It’s International Day of Women in Mining! We celebrated with women from NE Minnesota and had great conversations about the future of the industry. To the women who came before us, thank you for the work you did to create opportunities for generations of women to come! #mining
We hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day and a successful fishing opener! We’re thankful for your support, and for the beauty of the area we call home! Have a great week!

Big news today for a mining site in Nashwauk that has had its share of hurdles over the years. On a personal note: I’m thrilled so many Rangers, including many friends and family members, will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
“For decision-makers in Washington, D.C., to actually see how our current operations are contributing to the steel industry, the clean energy movement, and the economy, it is really important. This is a chance to show off the work our miners do each and every day.” - @KristenVake
I'll give you one guess who this headline is about🙋🏼♀️ Obviously, my kid dreams didn't work out, but that didn't stop me from striving to achieve the dreams I had later in life. This was such a special event, and I’m so thankful I was asked to be part of it!
EVELETH/VIRGINIA — One dreamed as a child of becoming a "Spice Girl," performing with the nationally known band. She, instead, went on to become a television news anchor and the head of a local organization. https://t.co/VUhsSEgehg
“Don’t let moments of anxiety or fear hold you back. It’s OK to have big dreams, and you should jump at them.” Our executive director, @KristenVake, was part of a panel of female leaders who spoke to students in Eveleth yesterday.
