In Kikuube, it was deeply impactful.
We engaged with RDCs, district leaders, and the District Task Force, then moved deep into the district to interact directly with EVD survivors.

The rawness of how people were affected hit hard. We also engaged para-social workers and ground teams.

This joint monitoring with @UNICEF, @BaylorUganda, @MinofHealthUG & us Sauti 116 @Mglsd_UG was powerful. Feedback shared will be taken back positively.

Arua was fantastic.
High-level engagements with the District Task Force and all stakeholders. Everyone showed up and spoke openly.
As part of joint monitoring with @UNICEFUganda , @BaylorUganda, @TpoUg @MinofHealthUG , we continue to strengthen systems that protect children and prevent SEA & GBV post-epidemic.

The work continues as teams move to other districts.

Today in kawempe : Hon. Minister of State for Youth & Children Affairs @MercyLakiskis intercepted an overloaded school bus 💪
A 29-seater carrying 70+ students.
Vehicle impounded. Students returned to school safely. Permits cancelled.

To schools, drivers, and parents:Please put child safety first. Do not overload. Do not gamble with lives.
To the public: Let’s all be watchdogs. If you see reckless transport, report it to authorities immediately.
