Nigeria has one of the youngest populations in the world.

That means something powerful:

The next generation of global builders could come from here.

But talent alone is not enough.

We need:

• better infrastructure
• more mentorship
• stronger ecosystems

The opportunity is massive if we get it right.

Most people see a 200-person tech meetup and think "Success." I see it as a Load Test (even though it’s the most impactful 😎). As the Lead Program Manager for @GDGIlorin, my goal isn't just to fill seats; it's to architect a pipeline where a beginner enters the community and exits as a deployable Engineer. We don't just "talk" tech; we standardize it.

Two things that’s been helping me shift the community:

1 -• We’ve transitioned our sessions from theoretical decks to live repository forks (like our recent Cloud Infrastructure lab). If the community isn't shipping code, they aren't growing.

2-• True management is training 10 mentors to reach 1,000 students. Scaling impact requires delegating authority, not just tasks.

Community management is the ultimate "Soft Skill" that requires "Hard Technical" logic. Whether it’s coordinating the Build With AI or managing the Africa Defence sessions, the metric is always the same: Did the ecosystem become more resilient?
