The cards that life dealt Ray Davis were not in his favor.
The odds of him succeeding were next to nothing.
He beat them anyway.

The cards that life dealt @RayDavis were not in his favor.
Three outcomes were expected of his life: death, jail, or stay in the foster care system, age out and become homeless.
The odds of Davis succeeding were next to nothing.
He beat them anyway.

As Derek mentioned this story wraps up my internship with Bat Cat Central and my time covering Kentucky baseball full-time as I will be graduating on Friday!
I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has ever taken time out of their day to read a story of mine, it means the world to me.
Baseball has always been all I've ever wanted to do and while the dream has transformed over time, being involved in the game I love in any capacity has made this so fun.
My time covering the team has brought me so many blessings, with the biggest being my wonderful wife, who I met covering a Bat Cats game. It also checked off the childhood dream of going to Omaha.
Another big thank you to @DerekSTerry for giving me the opportunity to be a part of Bat Cat Central and being a mentor during my time with him!
If you've made it this far, thanks again for turning to me for your Bat Cats news and stories, whether it was for @KYKernelSports or Bat Cat Central. I'm not sure what my future looks like just yet, but I'll never forget my time covering a program that will always hold a special place in my heart.
