As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Republican senators from across the Commonwealth reflect on our nation’s founding, the values that unite us, and the responsibility we share to preserve liberty for future generations. 🇺🇸 #America250
Kentucky continues to prove that pro-growth policies create real results. @HorseSoldierUSA's recent investment in Somerset will generate jobs, attract tourism, and strengthen the local economy for years to come. This project reflects the kind of economic development our Commonwealth has worked to encourage through smart policies like the Kentucky’s Tourism Development Act and recent reforms to the ad valorem tax.
@kysenatepres and the KY General Assembly are honored to have created an environment where businesses choose to invest in Kentucky, supporting economic development, job creation, and opportunities for communities across the Commonwealth.

⚠️ Kentucky is dealing with dangerous heat this week.
It’s not an ordinary hot summer day here in our commonwealth. When temperatures reach the 90s and the heat index climbs above 100°, your body has a much harder time cooling itself. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can set in faster than many people realize, especially for people who work outside, older adults, young children and those with certain medical conditions. Be weather aware today and throughout the heat wave!
A few simple things can help keep you safe:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty. If you’re outside sweating for long periods, replacing electrolytes also helps.
☀️ Try to avoid strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day. If you have to be outside, take regular breaks in the shade or somewhere with air conditioning. Consider doing work that can’t wait early morning hours or later hours if the day when temperatures cool, even if only slightly.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.
🚨 Know the warning signs. Heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, muscle cramps and weakness are all signs of heat exhaustion. Confusion, loss of consciousness or a body temperature above 103° are signs of heat stroke and require immediate medical attention.
Most of all, check on someone today.
The elderly neighbor who lives alone, a friend working construction, grandparents, or a family member who may be without reliable air conditioning.
A quick phone call, a cold bottle of water or a few minutes of your time could make a bigger difference than you realize.
Stay cool, stay hydrated and stay safe, Kentucky!
