Many of you Nigerians are so ridiculous. Sending your account numbers to terrorists because they are doing giveaway. You have zero shame and even fear. Blood money and you’re scrambling for your share. Embarrassing.
You cannot spend years breaking a child's spirit and then expect a few words in adulthood to repair what took years to destroy. You cannot teach a child to fear your footsteps, your voice, your moods, and your anger, then expect them to see you as a source of comfort later in life.
Do not let people gaslight you into thinking that duality does not exist. You can be grateful and annoyed. You can want more and be grateful for what you have. You can be angry and frustrated and still be grateful. A lot of religious and spiritual gaslighting out here.
This is how I feel anytime I remember I once called my Husband's prospective wife to leave him alone.....shame wear me buba😫🙈
If I do that kind thing again, make I straight🤣
My hot take is that men are fighting against this issue of aborting a fetus that is found to have a disability because most times, they’re not the ones that have to give up their lives to care for the child forever.
If they felt they actually had something to lose?
One of my biggest dreams is to build a company that creates opportunities for women who started later than expected.
Internships and graduate trainee programs for women in their late 20s and 30s. Remote jobs for women in their 40s and 50s.
One of the reasons I love Jola is that she is very courageous with her thoughts, and you can tell that she doesn’t censor herself, and she is okay with being wrong (or so I think).
I also think there’s this thing about not having definitive opinions about things that frees us from the fear of being wrong.
About this abortion issue for fetuses with Down syndrome or pathological defects. I feel Nigerians are very performative and selective moralists.
As far as e no affect them, they will ALWAYS take the moral high ground.
"The baby you abOrtEd could've cured cancer."
So could the women you kept in the kitchen, denied education, autonomy, and basic human rights. You didn't care about them either.
As a young woman in Nigeria, I think you should invest all your money, energy and everything else you have into leaving Nigeria!
I am not just talking, I’ve spent a lot trying to get my little sister out of Nigeria! This country is not favorable to women!
Going through that tweet where that man said his wife made sure they paid rent, bought food and fix important things before their wedding and seeing lot of men saying things like :this is the kind of woman every man needs, how what she did is the bare minimum which I agree.
My question now is, if men as the head need woman to make sure they make important decisions such as paying rents, what then do you all; heads of the family use your heads for? 🤦🏽♀️
