Everyone at Laureus is saddened by the passing of world-renowned mountaineer and friend of Laureus Nirmal Purja, following an avalanche on Pakistan’s Broad Peak.

In 2019, Nirmal made history after climbing all of the world’s 14 peaks over 8,000 metres in just over six months.

Our thoughts are with Nirmal’s family and friends, and those of all climbers who lost their lives on the mountain.
