NBA teams are going to have to recalibrate very quickly to the changing value of a draft pick. Did they overcorrect? I think so. But doing this now guarantees the appearance of success due to the decrease in tanking that was naturally coming w/ the weaker 2027 draft class.
Yes but I would highly argue โfloppingโ and how the game is called is a much bigger issue than โtanking.โ Itโs taking over the headlines of, outside of it, has been great basketball across the league. They overcorrected on the tanking, curious to see how they address flipping. And AI isnโt it imo.
Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has passed new anti-tanking rules that include expanding the draft lottery from 14 to 16 teams, a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams get penalized with lessened chances for the No. 1 pick, and flattened odds, sources tell ESPN.

The Los Angeles Lakers are hiring former New Orleans Pelicans vice president of strategy and operations Rohan Ramadas as an assistant general manager under president Rob Pelinka, sources tell me and @mcten. The Lakers have interviewed candidates to bolster their front office.
@baq3281@CuffsTheLegend LeBron could make any decision and Iโd respect it. Heโs more than deserved to chose whatever is ends for him and even if he left LA, Iโd always appreciate what he did for the Lakers, and more importantly, game of basketball. Will be sad if/when he retires.
