@LouisaNicoll@lgoodbu It was so lovely to meet you too Louisa 💞 I hope you had a lovely meet up afterwards with your children, what a beautiful sunny evening it was for the three of you to raise a glass to John xx
@emcharlesworth3 Such a pleasure and privilege getting to know you Emma - you’ve already helped so many people through sharing your experience, and through this report will help many more. As we said, this is just the start of much needed change. 💙
A short 🧵…
Today was the launch event for the @theUKCB’s report "Bereavement is Everyone’s Business." It sets out the changes needed to improve bereavement support across the UK & I’ve been heavily involved through my role on the Lived Experience Advisory Forum (LEAF).
I can’t thank the LEAF members enough - they have been so brave and generous with their time, emotions and experience, and I was so proud to see some of them today in person to celebrate the launch of this report and everything they did to make this possible. 5/5
Today I had the privilege of attending the launch of @theUKCB report on bereavement support in the UK. The report’s recommendations hold the potential to not only improve the experience of bereaved people in the short term, but inspire real and long lasting societal change. 1/5
It’s been a humbling, inspiring and motivating experience for me, where the involvement of people with lived experience has been respected and integrated at every meaningful opportunity. 4/5
Today we’re launching our landmark report - Bereavement is Everyone’s Business. We know that many children and adults don’t get adequate support after the death of a loved one. Today’s report sets out the changes needed to improve support across the UK. https://t.co/RJBCtlXNJL
