It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today:
– Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them. Thank them.
– Don’t share things before checking your sources.
– Let the process run its course. It takes time to count every ballot.
We’re live from San Francisco’s front porch tomorrow, JFK Promenade, talking about the city’s next great park on Ocean Beach!
The folks from @GreatHwyPark will join us to talk all about Prop K!
Plus, our friend @fauvescraper will stop to chat about Phoenix Day!

@peterhartlaub@TonyBravoSF@rtwlz this is great! The last time I saw The Birds was probably 15 years ago when Film Night in the Park showed it in Union Square, perfect setting for it. Hundreds of people ducking all at the same time as the birds swarmed on screen.
San Francisco’s newest urban hike is 15 miles of pain and bliss.
Where I take 45 @sfchronicle readers (and two dogs!) from Fort Funston to Pier 23 — and we fall a little more in love with the city along the way.

Do you love a San Francisco mystery?
A map for a 1974 time capsule was found at Transamerica Pyramid. But there was a catch. Here’s how they found it — and what was inside.

Pelosi never turned down an offer of 10,000 Guard troops
There’s no evidence she ever got such an offer
She wouldn’t have had the power to turn it down if she had: the DC Guard is under the command of the president, not the speaker
The speaker is not in charge of Capitol security
