1. He bet on games in which he was a rostered member of the team and had insider knowledge of the program. It's less sinister than betting on games in which he was starting QB, but still a disqualifying decision—particularly after placing thousands of bets
2. Okay, he's not a Texas Tech alum or Lubbock guy, he's a Texas lifer. At any rate, clearly a friendly court for a CFB program in Texas
3. Texas Tech did nothing wrong!? Tech has known about Sorsby's gambling since April and had every intention of playing him. When the NCAA rightly suspended him, Tech backed the play to try to get a judge to overrule the NCAA
Tech can end its association with Sorsby at any time. Sorsby is not a victim, nor is Tech. They have full agency in everything they've done
Why should the White House “have to do” anything. FISA 702 is not a White House construct, the legislative branch created it. No one else.
This below reflects a fundamental disconnect, a mistaken perspective built upon years of accepted and flawed assumptions.
FISA WAS NOT created by the executive branch, it was and is entirely a legislative creation. If they don’t want it, fine. It’s not the White House’s issue to solve!
See how skewed and ridiculous DC has become?
@TechAthletics@TexasTechFB A perfect example of zero integrity.
This is a win at all cost mentality. Pathetic. Hopefully the Big 12 launches you into the independent NetherRealm.
🚨 UPDATE: @DeptofWar just designated Cirrus Aircraft an official Chinese military company, and as of June 30, Cirrus is prohibited from receiving Pentagon contracts.
Two weeks ago I wrote about how the most delivered piston aircraft manufacturer in America has been owned by the CCP's primary defense conglomerate since 2011. Glad to see it finally called out!
@ChazWrightTV@biggameJames_36 You guys are the ones pushing for him to play consequence free. That cannot be allowed by the P4 conferences bc it jeopardizes the integrity of future games. Slippery slope that leads to huge future gambling scandals.
TT should just come out & say he’s ineligible to play.
And this is EXACTLY what Prime Video wants. Amazon doesn’t rely on Box Office to fund the company like say Lionsgate does.
#MastersOfTheUniverse can and will live on through Prime Video, if it’s beneficial for the company through its tech side of things then we can suspect to see more of this world.
Amazon will not call this film a flop because that’s not how they judge it.
@Nerdrotics interesting. Seems like a combo of a marketing failure and a tough economy where folks don’t have tons extra to spend on taking the family to the movies.
I seriously don’t understand what’s going on with this movie. As I unfortunately predicted, it’s not doing well at the box office and yet the PREORDER for the 4K Blu-ray is the #1 seller in movies & TV on Amazon, both critics and audience reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and the merchandise is selling out everywhere. I kind of feel like I’m being gaslit here, to be honest.
This is just coded racism lol. Hornaceck was an all star and one of few players that ever averaged 20 points 5 rebounds 5 assist and 2 steals while shooting 50% from the field and 40% from 3. Ehlo wasn’t even the starting SG Ron Harper was. You weirdos don’t enjoy actual 🏀 .
@DKThompson P4 needs to break away and start fresh. Create a new league, new enforcement wing, collective bargain, establish concrete rules, correct the calendar, lock in a CFP model, maximize tv revenue, establish a commissioner etc. It’s time. This current BS is going to destroy the sport.
@Hoopss Curry at the 1
Jordan at the 2
Bird at the 3
Nowitzski at the 4
Shaq at the 5
That gives me:
three killers from 3 pt land (Steph 42%, Dirk 38%, Bird 37%)
Two Seven footers
Three selfless distributors
Three great defenders
Most -importantly a bunch of killers mentally
Turns out that @LeaderJohnThune was totally projecting when he said the SAVE Act was an influencer campaign.
Senator John Thune is compromised by a company that literally exists to sell access to himself.
Pass it on.
Hello, Mr. Desiderio,
Punchbowl News sells access to Capitol Hill for corporate clients. Their senior Senate reporter is you, Andrew Desiderio.
Here's how the access works: Punchbowl has a weekly show called "Fly Out Day," taped at the Punchbowl News Townhouse and described on their own site as an "exclusive first look" for Premium subscribers. Those Premium subscribers are the K Street corporate government affairs staff and trade association officials whose legislative interests depend on what Senate leadership decides to schedule… or kill.
The second-ever guest was Senate Majority Leader John Thune, on September 11, 2025. This is documented in your own webste.
Now let’s go over your post carefully.
You say Mike Lee "primed the GOP base to believe" something. That’s manipulative framing, the language of a man working a crowd. But Thune "pointed out" something. That’s the language of a man correcting the record, establishing fact.
This is not a one-off phrasing choice on your part.
Your Punchbowl coverage consistently frames Thune's positions as institutional reality and conservative alternatives as base management. Thune "declared" that the talking filibuster is dead. Lee and his allies "captivated Trump's base." Thune "had enough." The SAVE Act push is "a self-inflicted wound." These are not neutral verbs. They are a point of view… and it's Thune's point of view, delivered with a byline.
There's a structural reason this happens.
Jake Sherman described Punchbowl's business model in his own words on The Rebooting podcast (January 2022): nearly 90% of the outlet's revenue comes from corporate sponsorships… "trade groups and companies looking to get their public affairs messaging in front of those making public policy." The sponsors documented at Punchbowl include PhRMA, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Facebook, JPMorgan, Blackstone, the American Investment Council (private equity lobby), and others.
These sponsors need the goodwill of the Senate Majority Leader, who controls which of their legislative priorities come to the floor. Thune controls the floor. Thune sits in Punchbowl's townhouse. You reports Thune's framing as conventional wisdom.
When Desiderio writes that the talking filibuster "will ultimately fail" ... not might fail, not Thune argues it will fail, but when it ultimately fails ... is that journalism? Or is it the view from Thune's Fly Out Day chair?
You are busted, Mr. Desiderio.
