I challenge each of us to leave this retreat with renewed commitment to serve diligently, exercise fearless oversight, uphold the highest standards of integrity and faithfully represent the people of Uganda. If we remain united, informed and focused on the national interest, I have no doubt that we shall leave a lasting legacy of strengthening democracy, promoting accountability and advancing the aspirations and livelihoods of our people.
LOP @JoelSsenyonyi urges Opposition Members.
LOP @JoelSsenyonyi : Our role as the Opposition is to provide constructive scrutiny, offer practical alternatives, and ensure that public policies and programmes genuinely improve the lives of our people. Every question we ask, every report we analyse, every motion we table and every alternative policy we propose should ultimately serve that purpose.

LOP @JoelSsenyonyi : This retreat comes at a critical time. Uganda continues to face serious challenges including high cost of living, youth unemployment, poor service delivery, corruption, insecurity, land conflicts, rising public debt, and disregard for the rule of law. These challenges demand an Opposition that is united, informed, and prepared to provide leadership. Ugandans expect us not only to identify what is wrong, but also to demonstrate how it can be done better.
