A Missive to the HOA:
Oh! My fence laid broken
My grass to long
The trash lay at the curb
But dear HOA you have misunderstood
Broken from the inside
For injury and loss have come to reside
It has gone on to long
My life has no extra
It lands in the bed of exhaustion
Neighbor, I plead for compassion
for the grass that grows
And fence with holes
And the weeds in the garden bed
The trash that just remains
I am needing community that offers a smile and a hello
For someone to fill the gas tank
And help financially with the holes
I was teaching the Sixth grade class yesterday at church. We were talking about how Peter ends his letter with “She who is in Babylon…”. I asked the Sixth graders what would be a modern day Babylon. One boy instantly says, “California “. 🤣
@NancyGuth3 I have personally benefited, but it is God drawing you to Him. He is revealing himself. He is the one will open the ears and hearts of others. Keep being obedient! People like me admire it and love the depth that you help us see!
We had a rich and rewarding experience at the Colson Fellows National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Commissioned today to live out God’s calling in this cultural moment.
