Recent work Cu-Ni-Mascus Nakiri, since Meta is blocking my reach because knives are evil, I was wondering if X would be a good platform to use. But I have no idea how to grow an account here
Tadeusz Wolsza.🗣️
“Skin the Poles so that they despair of life… I have all the compassion in the world for their situation, but it’s not our fault if the wolf was created by God as it is, and when for this reason people shoot him dead if they can.”
- Otto von Bismarck to his sister, 1861
"Poles may have only one master—a German. Two masters cannot exist side by side, and this is why all members of the Polish intelligentsia must be killed." — - Adolf Hitler, 1940
Bismarck and Hitler’s chilling words encapsulate the long-standing dehumanization of Poles in German policy, a mentality that laid the foundation for some of the most brutal atrocities of the 20th century.
The notion that Poles were a people to be subdued, stripped of dignity, and even exterminated, would be echoed with horrifying consequences during the German occupation of Poland.
And yet, modern Germany remains shockingly unaware of the scale of Polish suffering.
A recent report by the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) highlights this historical amnesia.
Only 16% of Germans recognize that the occupation of Poland was uniquely brutal and that Poland suffered the highest number of victims in relation to its population.
When asked about Polish civilian losses during World War II, most Germans drastically underestimate the number of casualties, with one-quarter of respondents estimating fewer than 500,000 deaths, far below the actual figure of a low estimate of 6 million.
This ignorance is not just an academic oversight; it shapes contemporary attitudes toward justice and accountability.
Despite the catastrophic destruction Germany inflicted on Poland, only 8% of Germans believe Poland’s demand for reparations is justified, while two-thirds reject it outright.
The staggering gap between historical reality and public perception suggests a deliberate or systemic failure in German historical education regarding its country’s role in Poland’s suffering.
This is not merely forgetfulness, it is a failure to fully reckon with the past.
While Germany has devoted significant effort to acknowledging its Nazi crimes, this focus has largely centered on the Holocaust and atrocities in Western Europe.
The war’s impact on the Eastern Front, particularly in Poland, the first victim of German aggression in 1939 - remains overshadowed in the collective German memory.
Meanwhile, German historical discourse often gives more attention to the suffering of Germans, such as the bombing of Dresden or the post-war expulsions, than to the annihilation Poland endured under German occupation.
This imbalance distorts history, allowing Germany to gradually shift from being seen as the perpetrator to portraying itself as a victim.
Poland’s calls for recognition and justice, whether in the form of reparations or historical acknowledgment are frequently dismissed as nationalist grievances rather than legitimate demands.
But Poland was not just another occupied country; it was the epicenter of German genocidal policies, where entire cities were reduced to ashes, millions were murdered, and a nation was left in ruins.
The refusal to fully acknowledge this is not just an oversight, it is a moral failure that continues to strain Polish-German relations.
Until Germany integrates Poland’s suffering into its historical consciousness with the same rigor it has applied to its Western narratives, reconciliation will remain incomplete.
The PISM report should serve as a wake-up call: Germany must fully confront its legacy of ignoring crimes committed against the Polish people.
Otherwise, history will remain skewed, and justice for Poland will remain an unresolved chapter.
Photo: kidnapping. One eyewitness of the kidnapping of children at Zamosc later recalled: "I saw children being taken from their mothers; some were even torn from the breast. It was a terrible sight: the agony of the mothers and fathers, the beating by the Germans, and the crying of the children."
S-profile Cu-Ni-Mascus 😀
I've been really pushing it this time.
It is so easy to mess up the copper billet, easily splits, you need to keep the temperature just right so it won't overheat and not too low so you can actually forge it together.
But it's worth it.

Now, why not make my life even more difficult and add some brass in the mix as well.
Here is a first attempt, lovely, Petty is ready for your kitchen.
It was supposed to be a chef, but you can't win evening, I guess.
@rafalhubert Mój brat był wśród Pakistańskich Chrześcijan kilka lat temu w czasie Wielkanocnych procesji.
Nagrał je i muszę przyznać że chciałbym zobaczyć taką żywą wiara na naszych ulicach.
Mimo gróźb ataku wszyscy wyszli świętować.
