Yesterday saw Lumo launch their new West Coast route, running from Euston to Stirling, using former EMR Class 222s reconfigured to a 6 car formation. Currently only having one return journey a day, said journey is seen with 222601 passing South Kenton in the afternoon sun
701006 took the honours of being the first SWR train to be put into the new Great British Railways livery. It is seen here at Kew Bridge on 2S33 towards Weybridge following its press duties at Waterloo, the first journey in service with its new livery
The bus scene just to the west of London has once again changed, with First introducing a new route between Wycombe and Uxbridge, appropriately numbered M40, and extending the X74 from Slough to Uxbridge. Both route are mostly using E400MMCs recently transferred from Cornwall!
Last Friday saw Reading Buses introduce their new fleet of Enviro400EVs, on the Purple 17 and Claret 21. As expected, the buses have the route coloured style liveries, as well as 3 special ones including a suitable Zebra one. Overall a very pleasant new fleet of buses!
Today is the last day of the 96 and 472 being operated by Stagecoach, and the B15 being operated by Arriva. From tomorrow, the 96 will be operated by Arriva, the B15 by Go Ahead and the 472 renumbered SL11 and operated by Go Ahead. Hereโs a variety of buses along the routes
This weekend saw the entire Piccadilly Line closed to allow for the testing of the new 2024 Stock to take place
The new units are very good looking, particularly with at night with the unique light designs, and can be seen here at Acton Town and South Ealing
The new DLR B23 Stock entered service today, was a singular unit operating between Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal. These trains will allow the oldest stock to be withdrawn, and provide capacity increases elsewhere. Overall they are very pleasant trains to ride on
The latest addition to the Superloop network was introduced today with the โBakerloopโ BL1. The route mirrors the proposed Bakerloo line extension to Lewisham, and has had its buses fitted with the same Barman moquette used on the 1972 Stock
A few days late but the obligatory post from the Greatest Gathering in Derby last weekend. A very good event with a large amount of variety, with many different train types, many of which are not normally seen. Was also very nice to have most of the BR era repaints all together

There has been many new buses introduced in London recently, including some new types for the city.
While both single and double decks Electroliners are starting to become very common, these are the first Enviro100EVs and the second batch of integral Enviro400EVs in London.
The new Silvertown Tunnel opened today, with the bus network in the surrounding area being modified to use it. The 129 was extended to Gallions Reach, the SL4 and a dedicated cycle shuttle bus, numbered SCS, were introduced, with all these now running through the tunnel
Recently had a day in Cambridge, with the majority spent on exploring the busway network.
A good selection of vehicles are on the routes, with my personal favourites being the E400XLBs and B8 Evoras, both of which are well suited to the routes
The new ADL E400EVs have entered service with Stagecoach Midlands, as part of the Coventry electric bus city. The buses are very nice to ride on, although it feels they have been rushed into service due to the next stop announcements not working and fleet numbers not yet being on
A new type of electric bus was introduced in London today, the Irizar ie Tram. After many delays, the first of the batch have begun operating on the 358 between Crystal Palace and Orpington, making use of the pantograph charging at both ends of the route
