Epic moment ๐ฅ
๐บ๐ธTrump at 5:00 PM โ โNo President has done this. We got Iran to talk nukes. Maybe even give them up. This is First time ever.โ
๐บ๐ธObama at 6:00 PM โ โDid it already. No missiles fired. Moved 97% of their enriched uranium out. We didn't have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz like you.โ๐ฅ๐
Foreverland:
When both sides (one for ego, the other for survival) are determined to be able to claim victory.
A military "Mine's bigger than yours" contest refers to a macho, zero-sum competition of displays, where nations/leaders of nations attempt to intimidate rivals or rally domestic support by boasting about the size, destructiveness, or volume of their military hardware. This concept manifests in specific ways:
During tense international standoffs, this type of rhetoric is frequently used by global leaders as a psychological tactic. It involves public threats or boasts designed to project strength, often focusing on ballistic missiles, nuclear arsenals, or massive defense budgets to establish dominance on the world stage.

Stopping dangerous pathogens at their source in the developing world was a fundamental pillar of USAID (The United States Agency for International Development) driven by the mandate that global health security is U.S. national security. By funding surveillance, labs and immunizations USAID acted as a crucial firewall to prevent infectious diseases from reaching U.S. shores. Trump put a stop to that and it's evident that he doesn't and can't give a damn about the health of US citizens or the US healthcare system; look who he's put in charge of it, Robert F. Kennedy Jr - another case of Trump choosing loyalty over competence.

Donald Trump's presidencies are vanity projects. While, like Nero and Caligula, he builds monuments to himself, Rome USA is becoming a gigantic Trump Tower. Meanwhile, he delivers the opposite of the promises millions believed. A con artist is a con artist and while he didn't write "The art of the deal" but merely provided the plot (like him a work of fiction) he continues to wield The Art of The Con. He believes other people are fools. Sadly, millions are determined to prove him right.
โ'The Art of the Dealโ made America see Trump as a charmer with an unfailing knack for business. Tony Schwartz helped create that mythโand regrets it'.

And so goodbye Stephen Colbert and 'The Late Show'. From 2016 to your last show on CBS you have spoken and presented more political sense and sanity in this The Age of Stupid than the ugly, vicious and lethal incompetence of both Trump regimes. It's been a pleasure watching and listening to you: Funny, intelligent, incisive and informative. Thank you.

First Trump's tariffs, which American consumers (not the nasty foreigners) are paying for. It's a sales tax. Now, in addition, there's the cost of Trump's ego driven, unnecessary war with Iran, which was held in check by the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)/The Iran Nuclear Deal negotiated by the Obama administration, European nations, and other world powers with Iran; an agreement Trump tore up because of his jealous hatred pf anything to do with Obama (especially his being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize).
The war is costing American Tax payers billions of dollars with billions more to be needlessly flushed away while once again, as so often before, Trump's bestie, Putin, benefits from bigger Russian oil sales (what a coincidence) and how much does Putin know about Trump's other bestie, Epstein for ten years? Good heavens, we've all been distracted from the Epstein Files by the war (so Trump hopes).
