Australia's spy chief, Mike Burgess, has testified what many of us have been begging the world to take notice of: the normalization of antisemitism in Australia.

According to him, patterns of antisemitism have transitioned from “threatening, intimidating behavior to direct targeting of people, businesses and places of worship."

He noted that this hateful behavior started before Israel responded to the October 7th massacre, and that lack of comprehensive action has allowed them to become "normalized."

His testimony was given at a hearing in the wake of the Bondi Chanukah Massacre, in which 2 gunmen murdered 15 people celebrating Chanukah at the beach.

It is already too late for Australia to prevent a massacre of Jews. Now the country must do everything in its power to stop the wave of anti-Jewish hate.

140 שנה אחרי, אותו מאבק היסטורי מזכיר לנו אמת פשוטה: ציבור נחוש שדורש צדק - משנה את המציאות. וכשאנחנו ננצח ונשקם את ההריסות, נציב במרכז את מי שהביאו את השינוי במו ידיהם. נכונן מחדש את הדמוקרטיה הישראלית על הבסיס שאבד: סולידריות חברתית, חירות וצדק, מתוך שאיפה לחברת מופת כפי שהתחייבנו במגילת העצמאות. זו המדינה שראוי שנילחם עליה.

היום הזה מוקדש לכם: לישראלים שעובדים, משרתים ונושאים בנטל. לאלו שמחנכים את ילדינו, שמטפלים בהורינו, שמצילים חיים בבתי החולים ושמחזיקים את המדינה הזו על כתפיהם. אתם עמוד השדרה של ישראל. אתם הכוח שלנו. ולמענכם - אנחנו נילחם, וננצח.
