Madeon recalls working on ARTPOP and says Lady Gaga has "ownership" over her art in a new interview.
"She's distinctly great because she's really knowledgeable—and she makes. She has ownership over it; she's a maker. Some artists are brilliant at creating a system around them that hopefully creates great art, but they feel more like a manager of it. But no, she makes."
Billboard names Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” as the No. 1 LGBTQ+ anthem of all time.
“Inspired by the empowering music of the ‘90s, Gaga told Billboard that she wanted to create a ‘freedom record’ that didn’t beat around the bush: ‘I want to write my this-is-who-the-f–k-I-am anthem, but I don’t want it to be hidden in poetic wizardry and metaphors.’ She followed through, with lyrics like, ‘No matter gay, straight or bi / Lesbian, transgendered life / I’m on the right track, baby / I was born to survive.’ Fans responded positively, as the song debuted at No.1 on the Hot 100 and remained there for six weeks.”
Gracie Abrams names “Summerboy,” “Speechless” and “Brown Eyes” as some of her favorite Lady Gaga songs in an interview with SiriusXM:
“All of ‘The Fame’ … is correct, in my opinion, to leave the house to, and also to stay in for.”
Slayyyter names Lady Gaga’s “So Happy I Could Die” as a song she wishes she’d written:

Lady Gaga details the creation of the MAYHEM: Requiem version of “Die With a Smile,” which samples Kavinsky’s “Nightcall”:
"Building MAYHEM: Requiem was such an experience—I wanted to infuse it with influence from musicians and artists I really have admired and been inspired by my whole career. Kavinsky was one of my big influences for a lot of albums, and I wanted to flip “Die With A Smile” harnessing “Nightcall” with a French electronic energy and relentless arpeggio that would ground it with more dystopian tension and maybe even a fear of the unknown of the future—contrasted with the joy of a new version of the songs original melody and finding the love and hope through the music. I tried to perform how it would feel to me to say goodbye to my record, my loved one, or my fans if the world around me was changing.🖤 I’m so glad you loved it.”
